Terms & Conditions may be updated by us from time to time without any notice to you. Your use of this site and the information, content, and services available through the site are subject to the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, please do not use our sites.
Velvet Air owns all copyrights, trademarks, service marks, and trade names related to our Company Information. All Company Information is proprietary to Velvet Air.
Booking & Reservation
You can book & pay your e-ticket using our online booking facility by visiting our website www.velvetair.in. The payment can be made online by using Credit Card or Debit Card (Master/VISA/Amex), and Netbanking. Cheques are not accepted by Velvet Air for ticket purchase. We advise you to make your reservations in advance through any office of Velvet Air or our approved Travel Agent in your city.
Fares are subject to change without notice. If you have purchased a ticket and subsequently the fares have increased then you will not be required to pay the difference. However, if you change your travel dates, which requires re-issuance of the ticket, the same ticket will be re priced at the applicable fare at the time of making changes and the difference would have to be paid.
Please check your ticket after it is issued and read the Fare Terms and conditions.
Rebooking, Refund & Cancellations
Rebooking will also be permitted up to 24 hours prior to the advised flight time. For any change to an existing booking the original ticket will be cancelled subject to the cancellation charges and a fresh booking will be made subject to availability.
Cancellation, postponement, change of itinerary - must be done at least 24 hour before a flight. A fee will be charged towards cancellation fee as printed on the ticket or applicable on that fare as per the Airline policy. No refund except the PSF and taxes will be admissible for any cancellation within 24 hours of the advised flight time.
Bookings are not transferable. If someone other than the customer entitled to be carried there under attempts to travel, or to obtain a refund in connection therewith, Velvet Air shall not be liable to the customer so entitled if in good faith it provides carriage or makes a refund to the said person.
Refunds will be processed subject to refund penalties as per fare rules and will be paid as per the original currency of payment, place of payment and mode of payment.
The refund of a ticket issued by a Travel Agent must be processed through the issuing Travel Agent only.
Tickets issued outside India will be refunded in India only.
Velvet Air reserves the right to make a refund only to the person named in the ticket or to the person who originally paid for the ticket, and to refuse a refund if any application for such refund is made later than 3 months after the expiry date of the ticket.
Once we receive your refund request, we will process the refund within 14 working days.
In case of any cancellation / refund, we will deduct the relevant amount and the balance will be refunded to the same Credit / Debit card / Net banking used to purchase the original itinerary.
Passenger check-in at the airport begins 1 hour and closes 20 minutes prior to the estimated departure time of Non-Schedule operating flight. The boarding gate will be closed 15 minutes before estimated departure time of such non-schedule operating flights.
The following are considered to be valid photo identification documents:
- Valid Passport
- Driving License
- PAN Card
- Voter Identification Card
- Photo identity card issued by the employer, being government and reputed private sector organizations
- Children travelling on flight should have carried their school identification cards or any other photo identification proof along with them
- Valid birth certificates of infants need to be produced at the time of check-in for age proof
Passengers who cannot provide sufficient identification Velvet Air will be denied boarding.
Passengers who are unwell or pregnant will require a medical certificate from a licensed medical practitioner certifying they are fit for air travel on that day. Velvet Air reserves the right to deny boarding to Passengers who it considers to be medically unfit to travel and who do not have appropriate medical certification.
Only cabin baggage of the permitted size is allowed and weight not exceeding 3 kgs.
Velvet Air allows Passengers to check-in up to 12 kg of checked baggage per paying passenger. Checked Baggage in excess of 12 kg is subject to a fee of Rs 75 per kg per Sector, to be paid to Velvet Air.
Velvet Air reserves the right to refuse carriage of any item that does not comply with the Regulations. Passengers would be allowed to carry such luggage as allowed by BCAS and/or applicable authority. The Government of India Prohibits the use of mobile phones on board at all times.
Hand Baggage shall be accepted in the cabin subject to the availability of space under the seat.
Lost Baggage & Compensation
Velvet Air is not liable for any loss or damage occasioned by delay in the carriage by air of Baggage. In case of lost or damage beyond repair is limited to Rs. 200/- per kilogram, unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid. Excess valuation may not be declared on certain types of articles. Carrier assumes no liability for fragile or perishable articles.
According to security regulations, passengers are advised:
- Not leave baggage unobserved at any time, especially within airport area.
- To declare before baggage screening/check-in if carrying any arms or explosive substance.
- Battery cells /Dry cells carried in the hand baggage or any electrical/electronic items are liable to be removed. The same could be carried in the registered baggage.
- Not to accept any packets from unknown persons.
Carriage of dry cell batteries, knives, alcohol, scissors, sharp instruments, tools, fire arms, ammunition and their replicas are prohibited in the guest cabin.
Currency, precious metals, jewelry, negotiable instruments, securities, personal identification documents and other items of value, are best carried with the guests in the cabin.
Medicines and toiletries in limited quantities which are necessary or appropriate for the guest during the journey, such as hair sprays, perfumes and medicines with alcohol may be carried.
Non Smoking Flights
As per the guidelines of the Regulatory Bodies, smoking is strictly forbidden on the flight.
The times shown are approximate and not guaranteed and form no part of the contract of carriage.
In the event of death of a passenger, or any bodily injury or wound suffered by a passenger which results in a permanent disablement incapacitating him/her from engaging in or being occupied with his usual duties or business occupation, the liability of Velvet Air for each passenger shall be limited to Rs. 500,000 only, if the passenger is 12 years or more of age and limited to Rs. 250,000 only, if the passenger is below 12 years of age on the date of the accident. All claims will be settled under the ICAO Montreal Convention.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi only.
